3/28/15 -Moving Day

3/28/15 - Moving Day. Today we left Lazydays Campground in Tucson,AZ heading west. We were unable to get a campground so we called Walmart in El Centro home for the night. We headed out in the morning & reached out next KOA campground in Chula Vista which is only 8 miles from Tijuana, Mexico. 

On the ride we came across AZ via Rt. 8 were we saw the Imperial Sand Dunes upon reaching CA. They were awesome. Just out of no where in the middle of the desert, we saw these wonderful sand dunes. 

Below are pictures of a beautiful sunset as we traveled down the highway!

On our way to Chula Vista we were traveling through the mountains at an elevation of 4,000 ft. when we came upon a sign stating that there was a Desert View Tower up ahead. We stopped & this was amazing.

This was a stone carving at the base of the tower. In the background you can see the mountains & beyond to the desert. 

Beautiful cactus were growing around the tower.

As we were driving down a mountain we saw all these windmills that generate electricity. Actually it took away from the beauty of the mountainside.

We saw all kinds of mountains some with grass, some with cactus and some were all rocks like in the picture above. 

A couple of pictures of one of our previous campgrounds that I overlooked in my previous blogs.

These horses were eating an apple out of Carps' hand. It was great. 

I was not brave enough to feed the horses. I let Carp take care of that. 

 3/30/15 - Today we stopped at a Mexican supermarket & it was unbelievable. Everything in the store was so neat & arranged perfectly. I took a picture of part of the produce section.
